| I just want to clarify whether or not a 1995 fuel injector setup will work if it is modified/installed into a 1990 lower intake manifold re; [ http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1711842 ] I've done a ton of research in this area and have been sitting on this for a long time, but didn't take the time to assmeble the information in a fairly legible format. here's the best I can do. Disclaimer; This is all based on photographic evidence of fuel injector spray patterns on a test bench, as provided to me by JWT. With that proof, and my existing fuel systems analysis, I can provide you with this simple diagram that explains it all... -Notice, the 1995 fuel injector is only 1/4" 'shorter' inside the lower plenum.
-Notice, at 1.0 inches from the tip, the 1990 injector has a Wider spray pattern.
-Notice, at 1.25 inches from the tip (equivelant to 1.0 from the tip of the 1990 style), the 1995 injector has a Narrow spray pattern. This, to me, is all the proof I need to say that a 1995 fuel injector will work absolutely FINE in a 1990 lower plenum. There will be no over spray issues. Mod at will
